The presentation of materials is a lesson every designer needs to learn, and it also implies a flow of time. When planning a two-person home, it’s essential to understand the homeowner’s story and lifestyle preferences. The subtleties hidden in various materials and the interplay between different textures convey the starting point of the space more thoroughly and subtly. The homeowner in this case values practicality and prefers light colors, hoping to create a fresh and refined home. Upon entering, a complete dividing line is visible. Ironwork not only solves the relatively enclosed layout but also visually connects the living room and tea room areas, making the living room feel larger. The passageway is rounded, greatly reducing the harshness of the previous corridor. The low sink and graphic wall mirror in the bathroom exude a simple, comfortable, and clean aesthetic, further highlighting the contrast between understated leisure and modernity. Through the contrast of various material selections, one can appreciate the layering created by different materials without sacrificing functionality. From afar, it appears rustic; up close, it is delicate, showcasing the homeowner’s unique personal style.
